*******NOTE DATE CHANGE****** Sierra College Wrestling Dual Meet - On Thursday 11/17/11 Amador Wrestling will travel to Sierra College to watch the Wolverines battle the Panthers of Sacramento City College. This is an optional event that will allow our wrestlers to see what wrestling should look like – this is really important for our rookies. Also it will give everyone a chance to see our Co-Head Coach, Quentin Becker, compete against Sierra’s biggest rival Sac City. This is a spirited rivalry and will be an intense dual match. The cost for entry is $5, and I recommend packing healthy food to eat for dinner on the trip over. The full flyer with information and directions can be found under "Tournament Info" on this website.
Amador wrestling is pleased to welcome new coaches to our staff - AHS alumni Brittany Patrick and Dianne Bennett will play an instrumental role in our developing girls program. AHS teacher and outstanding coach Ryan Mendosa will offer his experience as a head coach in the practice room. AHS Alumnus and four-year varsity letterman Jesse Moreno will bring his extensive wrestling experience and great understanding of personal fitness to the coaching staff. We are also happy to learn that Ponderosa alumnus and Sierra College stand-out Aaron DeMay will dedicate some time after the college season to improving our program. And, we would be remiss if we failed to note that we anticipate and welcome the return of an outstanding AHS coach Eldon Clymer who will make a great corner coach at dual meets and tournaments.
